Vaccinations & Immunizations

Who it's for

Anyone 2 and up who wants their shot done by a pharmacist who actually has time to talk it through.

What’s included

  • Same-day flu shots during influenza season — walk in, or book ahead to skip the wait.
  • Shingles vaccine — publicly funded for adults 65–70, available for purchase for everyone else.
  • COVID-19 vaccines and boosters in line with current public-health guidance.
  • Pneumonia vaccines for eligible adults.
  • Travel vaccines — typhoid, hepatitis A and B, Japanese encephalitis, rabies pre-exposure, and more.
  • Routine adult vaccines — tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis boosters, measles-mumps-rubella, HPV, hepatitis A and B.
  • Documentation — we update your provincial immunization record and give you a printed card on request.

How it works

  1. Book online in under a minute, or walk in during open hours.
  2. Brief screening — we check your history, allergies, and what’s covered for you.
  3. The shot — usually 30 seconds. We use the smallest gauge needle appropriate for the dose.
  4. Wait 15 minutes in our seating area so we can monitor you. Most people leave with nothing more than a bandage.
  5. Records updated — we file your immunization with the provincial system and email you a receipt.

What it costs

Most vaccines on this list are free under OHIP if you’re eligible. The biggest exceptions are travel vaccines and the adult shingles vaccine outside the 65–70 funded window. We’ll always quote the cost before we open a vial — no surprises at the counter.

If your insurance plan reimburses vaccines, we’ll provide an itemized receipt you can submit directly.

Frequently asked

Common questions about vaccinations & immunizations.

Which vaccines does OHIP cover?
Flu, COVID-19, pneumonia (for eligible adults), the shingles vaccine (publicly funded for adults 65–70), and several routine adult vaccines. Travel vaccines and a few specialty vaccines are typically paid out-of-pocket — we'll always tell you the cost upfront.
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome, but booking online means no wait. For flu season and back-to-school weeks especially, we strongly recommend booking.
Can I get more than one vaccine in the same visit?
Yes — for most adult vaccines, co-administration is safe and well-studied. Just tell us at booking and we'll plan the appointment accordingly.
What about kids?
We can administer most routine vaccines to children 2 years and older. For children under 2, we'll point you to the right setting — your family doctor or your local public health unit.
Do you do travel vaccines?
Yes — typhoid, hepatitis A and B, Japanese encephalitis, rabies pre-exposure, and more. Book a travel consultation at least 4–6 weeks before your trip so your immunity has time to build.
I don't have a health card. Can you still vaccinate me?
Yes. We can still administer most vaccines and we'll quote you the cost beforehand. Bring any prior immunization records if you have them.
